After the battle, a
sequence follows. Later, you'll be able to change
your party members. You will be fighting Ramsus again
so I recommend that you have Bart with you. Go to the
memory cube then save.
Talk
to Sigurd and choose 'wait a while.' Get out of the
room and then go to the elevator. Head for the gear
hangar. Go to the gear shop and tune up your gears.
You might not be able to afford to tune up all the
gears in your party so just tune up the one gears of
the members you plan on using. You can tune up the
gears of the others next time.
Go back to Sigurd at
the bridge and talk to him. Launch the Yggdrasil. The
Babel tower is that bright yellow dot on the middle
of the group of islands on the the lower left of the
map. If you went there in the early part of the game,
the entrance should be sealed but now it's not.
Here's one of the
most annoying and most difficult jumps you'll be
making. The view isn't a true 360 degrees so it's
hard to estimate where and when to jump. It's very
tricky and falling down the water can be frustrating.
TIPS ON ENEMIES
Traffic
Jam
- Has an ether attack
(alarm beam) which can cause 200-500+ damage!
They're easy to kill. Use Renamzuo's <S>
attacks.
From the entrance,
walk all the way to the end and let yourself fall to
the edge where the box is. Get inside the tube and
exit through the /SOUTH\ hole. Do a running jump to
get to the other end on the /SOUTH\. Then make
another jump to another end. Did you fall down?
If yes, go up again
(ugh). Hokay, assuming that you're now on the part
where there's a rope, fall down towards it and press
<X>. Do not jump because you won't be able to
grab the rope. Just press the left button on the game
pad and press <X> when you're falling down. An
instruction will pop up.
Press the left and
right directional button and you will be moving. Keep
on pressing the directional buttons to gain momentum.
How do you know if the swaying's enough? If the
'view' on the screen starts to move, then it's okay
to jump. Press <T> when the rope brings you to
the top most on the /SOUTH\.
Just when you think
it's over, there's still more and it's still possible
to fall all the way down to the water. You will find
yourself to be on some sort of metal arm. Go up on
the [right]. Be careful because this metal will go
down once you reach the end. Jump to the /WEST\ tube
(there's an hole with a ledge).
Did you make it? I
hope you did because imagine that you have to go
through everything again. Walk slowly to the /NORTH\.
Fei will say something. Go near the rope SLOWLY. Jump
up. If you're near enough, you'll find the gears
holding on the rope and go up automatically. Save
your game on the nearby memory cube. If you were
unsuccessful and frustrated, don't fret, here's a
dexdrive save of the game.
Walk
/WEST\. Walk to the edge. Once you're out of the
gears, go to the door on the [right] of the gear. A
big enemy might attack you while you're walking so
it's wise to escape the fight.
Don't go down.
Examine the computer at the top on the [right]. A
sequence follows. Go down and open the chest. Get out
of the place. Remember that you came in through the
/SOUTH\ wall. Jump up and press <X> to open the
wall. Go back to your gears by positioning yourself
under them and press L2+R2.
Jump down then
you'll find yourself at another ladderlike place. Go
up the boxes on the /NORTH\.
TIPS ON ENEMIES
Conjurer -
does an Ether attack on everyone including
himself. A few <X> attacks will kill them.
Fuel
Tank - will replenish
your fuel. You have to attack them so that
they'll replenish your fuel.
Gun
Drone - can inflict
almost 1000 HP damage. One of Weltall's <X>
attacks will kill it.
Walk to the [left] a
bit. Your gears will jump in. Go up the boxes. Jump
up the metal ledge. Get out of your gears and climb
up the ladder on the /SOUTH\. You have to go at the
BACK of the ladder to be able to climb it. Go to the
middle and examine that place. You'll find yourself
in a room.
Examine the chests
in the room. Go up (/EAST\). Examine the computer on
the [right], the one with something that looks like a
chair. A sequence follows.

Wild Smile on him. Miang will be curing him
so it will take longer to kill him. Just make
sure that you inflict more than 1000 hp
damages per turn. |
Save
your game in the memory cube.
Go
through the [right] doorway. Walk /EAST\ then turn
/SOUTH\. Go down that place where you'll see a chest.
Examine it. Go up again and try jumping over the
other end. Fei will say something so you have to go
down. Get out of your gears and go to the door at
/NORTH\.
Go down the room.
Open the chests. Examine the computers. Walk over
them and keep pressing the <X> button. The
first one of the [left] should say lock clear or
something like that. The second one should say
'done,' while the third should start a sequence.
Go up and exit
through the door. Jump up and try to cross the other
end. Walk /SOUTH\. Jump over the gap on the floor.
Keep on walking /SOUTH\ until you have to go up. Keep
on walking /SOUTH\ and you'll fall. Get up and go to
the other side.
Examine the chests
but be careful! I don't know if it's possible to fall
down but still... careful! Go /SOUTH\. Go down. Talk
to 'Self-repairing robot.' Restore your fuel and HP.
Walk back /EAST\ and jump on that gold gigantic
stairs. Go /SOUTH\.
TIPS ON ENEMIES
Traffic
Jam - there are two
kinds of traffic jams now. Kill the windmill-like
using a deathblow.
Keep on waling then
go /EAST\. Jump on that big traffic jam. After the
battle, it will take you up. Walk /NORTH\ once you
are at the top. Turn /EAST\ at the end and do a
running jump to get to the other end. If you fall
down, I suggest you go to the white gear to replenish
your fuel and HP. Jump on the big traffic jam to go
up.
On the next level,
walk /EAST\ then down /SOUTH\. At the end, go up a
set of stairs. Jump on the big traffic jam. On the
next level, keep on walking /NORTH\. Jump on the big
traffic jam.
Jump /EAST\ and go
to the /EAST\. You have to go /SOUTH\. Do a running
jump to get to the other side. If you miss you'll
fall down. You will have to jump on a big traffic jam
which you can't see at this point. It is located down
/SOUTH\. You can maneuver yourself a bit as you fall
down. Keep pressing the directional button to be able
to reach the traffic jam.
Jump /SOUTH\ and
jump over the gaps. Go /SOUTH\ and go to the pipes.
Climb up. Go to the memory cube and save your game.
