You
will be facing Deus twice in the game. Defeating Deus
the second time is more difficult and here are the
tips on defeating him. If you want to post your
suggestions/tips 'n tricks on defeating the final
Deus, please go HERE. If you have tips on
anything other than defeating the Deus, send them to [email protected].
from Bigman
<[email protected]> In Xenogears when you
get to Deus, kill all the orbs for an
easiertime killing Deus. Here's what you do:
do not use Fei in the orb battles or the
there you going to use in the deus battle.
For Marlute use tank guards to stop fuel
drain. Sundel: use weak characters. Metatron
and Harlute: use the next stongest charaters.
Killing all the orbs lowers Deus' HP.

from Goh
Ming Jun <[email protected]> From what I have
known, all the characters are capable of
reaching the attack level three. Let me tell
you some strategies that may aid you in
defeating the boss. First, you must have a
Frame HP 70 for all your characters who are
fighting against the boss. Make sure you use
your boosters on the first turn. Use the
Z-Charges if you have it. No combo attacks,
make sure to attack with the X button every
turn. You must kill all four of the shining
glowing orbs around Deus, without doing this,
it is almost impossible to defeat Deus
without killing the four orbs first. With
this strategies, I really hope that you can
defeat the boss.
|
from <[email protected]> First, before even
getting to Deus, I recommend that you have
purchased all the engine, armor
upgrades. Second, there are three
fundamental items you should equip on each
gear. GNR500, which increases you engine
output (more damage to enemy, less to you),
DeathBlower1 (allows a [T]+[X] combo), and
FixFrame for 50%. When you have all of
these, and you are in the orb room, look at
the orbs. AN electrical haze surrounds
them , and they're all different
colors. The one you want first is
Metatron, and his is white. Then look
for a yellow. That's Marlute (Bird on floor).
Then, the other two are yours to pick.
Don't use infinity combos, just use your
DeathBlower for the [T]+[X] combo. The
GNR500 should increase the damage potential
of your gears, and with that and this advice,
you should be able to kick Deus' ass.

from <[email protected]> Deus isn't that hard
to beat if you have a ton of money and are
relentless in your attack.
- Get at
least RX Metal 80/30 (but get at
least 1 Z Gold 100) for all
characters.
- Buy a
ton of Drives for Chu-Chu. Eth
Drives are most important because she
can cure your Gear Hp so you won't
need Fix Frame HP. With 200
Ether, she'll recover 10000 HP.
HP, VIT, and ETHDEF Drives are also
important.
- Fight angels (Power
Seraphs are good) for exp and try to
get at least 3 Angel AR+1s to give to
your best characters.
- I feel that Metatron
and Sundel are the most important
orbs to kill. I've beat the game
without killing any orbs, but it is
very hard to beat him if he uses
Ultimate Break and then follows it up
with Earthly Anointment, etc.
- If you use the engine
that gives you 8000 fuel, you can
boost and you should have about half
your fuel left at the end of the
battle if Deus uses Fuel Drain.
Heavenly Anointment is more a
nuisance than anything. It's
his confusion attack that you should
worry about.
- For Metatron and
Sundel, I use Billy, Bart, and
Emeralda. Billy will rely on
his O attack and deathblows, Bart
will have a GRNS50 to do major damage
(as long as he doesn't miss Sundel
goes down QUICK), and Emeralda is
fast enough to continually pound
whoever you face.
- Against Deus himself,
I use Fei, Citan, and Chu-Chu.
Chu-Chu never attacks, only cures or
defends. Fei and Citan boost,
Citan goes to level 3 and attadks(he
rarely goes to infinity, I think one
of Deus's attacks or healing lowers
Hyper Mode) and Fei uses Kishin as
soon as he gets it. Fei and
Citan both have Z Gold 100, Extra Ar
DX, Ether Ar+3, Fei has Anti-Angel
Sys and Citan has Angel AR+1.
Chu-chu should have the best
equipment you can give her, maybe a
Speed ring S to make her
faster.
- Holy Pendants (Billy
has one, you can buy them the 1st
time you're in Nisan) will give you
Infinity Level for SIX rounds instead
of three.
- Deathblowers are
great, but I only used them a few
times on the first disk and against
the last Ramsus/Miang battle.
- The last boss isn't
too much trouble, boost and either go
straight to Kishin or just stick with
Reppu. If she starts using that DEF
Down, wait until she does it at least
twice, THEN use Inner Healing so you
won't waste turns.

from <[email protected]>
You only need to take out 2 ORBS. The orbs
you only need to take out is
"Sundel", and that monster that
just lies on the floor. After you defeat
them. Have Emerelda in your party. I used
Citan, Fei, Emerelda. Ok make sure you have
good accesories. Here were mine:
Fei- GNSR50, Extra Armor DX,
Extra Armor DX
Emerelda- GNSR50- Extra Armor DX, Frame
HP 10
Citan- GNSR50- Extra Armor DX, Frame HP
10
As soon as
you start the match. Have Emerelda to
INFINITY. Just keep pushing the X button, not
doing any death blows, same with fei. And
citan. Just do normal attacks. Member keep
your Hp over 10,000... Fei's HP was 38,000.
Citan's was 30,000. Emerelda was 28,000.
After you have INFINITY on emerelda.
Use Dark Force. It should take out about
10,000 if you have GNSR50. If you have GNSR20
it'll take out about 8,000. Fei's INFINITY
use his strongest one. It should take out
about 12,000+. And nothing for Citan just
attack.

from <[email protected]> I just beat the game
yesterday and the following is the way I did
it.
Hopefully, this will help you out too.
I killed 3 out of the 4 orbs, only leaving
Marlute alive. Then, I have my
characters equip tank guards against the
fight with Dues. I used this strategy
so that Dues wastes some attacks by trying
Fuel Drain (obviously, to no effect).
Better than all his attacks doing legit
damage, right? I used Fei, Citan, and
Emeralda in this fight (this is the only time
I use Fei and Emeralda) because Emeralda and
Citan are both very quick (therefore, can get
to infinity in less time). For
Metatron, I suggest using Bart for his Wild
Smile (Metatron can dodge X attacks
sometimes) and Citan to shield against the
Earthly Anointment attack (the only time I
used him outside of Dues). Bart's Wild
Smile is also good against Sundel. As
with the fight with Urobolus, it really helps
to have the level 3 infinity deathblow
(Kishin).
|
from name
witheld upon request I only kill 3 of the
4 orbs: Metatron, Sundel, and Marlute, the
fuel stealing orb. The other orb,
Harlute, has a completely useless function
for Deus, and is not necessary to defeat.
As for character use, that would just depend
on who you have spent time building up.
Of course, save your best 3 for the Deus
fight alone, and use the next 3 strongest to
kill the orbs (for me, it's usually Emerelda,
Billy, and Bart). I use Fei, Citan, and
Maria to kill Deus.
|
from <[email protected]>
I didn't kill any of the orbs. I went
straight ahead and killed him directly I
think if you have 3 really good people this
is the fastest and easiest way. And I used
Fei,Citan, Bart to beat him. And Fei's gear
was the only one that could reach infinity. |
from Adam
Robinson <[email protected]>
Well, I just beat the game yesterday, and I
must say it was easier than expected. I used
Fei, Citan and Emeralda for all the orbs and
Deus. Gave Fei the Holy Pendant, SpeedShoes
and GRNS50, and let him attack until he hit
hypermode. Emeralda had 3 Power Magics,
EtherDoubler and 2 EtherStoneLgs, and she was
probably the most powerful character out
there, doing at least 8000 damage with each
spell. Citan was mostly useless, though he
delivered the final blow, the only deathblow
he got off.
I defeated all the orbs, and for the most
part they were easy. On Deus himself, it was
almost laughable. I cut him to ribbons before
Fei could even hit hypermode. Each character
was about lvl 75 or so. And I didn't think I
could beat him going into it. |
from Marc Joseph Henderson <[email protected]>
First, figure
out what two characters you want to be your
most powerful (they will accompany Fei to
attack the Deus core). Assure that these two
(as well as Fei) have the best of the best
tune-ups. I used Fei (duh<g>), Citan
and Rico (although Rico didn't have the best
armor and engine at the time). Also, if you
have the Speed Shoes put those on Fei (it's a
character item, not a gear item). This will
halve his turns, and is VERY useful. Now, for
the equipment. I had everyone using Fix Frame
30%. The other two slots are free for your
choice; I suggest giving Fei a Z Charger to
make sure that he doesn't run out of Fix
Frames (and if you have more than one, try
giving it to another person). You can also
give someone a GNSR20 if you have them,
however I didn't.
Now, on to the fighting. Fighting all 4 orbs
is not only difficult on its own, but it is
also taxing on your characters. Instead of
doing that, I suggest you look for the orb
emitting the white energy spray (the stuff
coming off the orb itself, look closely!).
This orb is Sundel, and he is Dues' healing
power. Use three characters that will NOT be
in the fight against Deus to defeat this orb
(Sundel is easy, just pound him; I suggest a
fast person like Emeralda to speed it along).
Having defeated Sundel the healing power, you
can go ahead and hit the core with your three
powerful characters. I know you might be
itching to kill the rest of them, but that
isn't necessary. In fact, when I fought Deus,
I accidentally went to the core without
equipping Fei's gear with a third
item<g>.
Okay, the Deus fight. The entire fight rests
almost entirely on Fei achieving and using
his infinite deathblow (use Kishin, the X
attack). Fei will need to attack three times,
use the X attack for all three times, then
he's free to pound away three times for 9999
each turn (and Deus only has a total of
45000, so 4-5 of these will kill it, or less
depending on how much damage the other two
characters do). Keep your HP above 12000, and
if necessary have the other two characters
devote more of their time to healing (you
want them alive to take some of the
single-attack hits).
Using the above advice, Deus shouldn't be too
difficult. I hope you'll able to complete
this unbelievable story without too much
frustration:). |
from
Psycrow <[email protected]> When I went after
Deus, Fei was only on level 65 and with Level
2 deathblows. I soon realized that I
had to defeat 3 of the 4 orbs (Harlute isn't
worth the trouble, it doesnt really do
anything) in order for Deus to be weak enough
to be killed with by such weak
characters. So, here's what I did.
- I
equipped all my gears with -two-
Extra Ar DX's and either a 50 or 70%
frame restorer. Simple, cheap
and effective.
- I took
Maria, Bart and Billy-- my
second-best group-- and headed
straight for the toughest orb,
Metatron, using thier best L1
Deathblows.
- After
disposing of Metatron, i took the
most damaged and fuel-drained party
member (which happened to be Billy)
and replaced him with Chu-Chu*, and
went for Sundel, still using Maria
and Bart's L1's.
- After
Sundel, i once again replaced the
weakest character. My party now
consisted of Maria, Rico and
Chu-Chu. Then I fought Marlute
(who, for some reason, you can't
Deathblow) using basic X attacks
while Chu-Chu kept healing.
- After
equipping Emeralda's character with
an EtherDoubler, I was now ready to
take on Deus with her, Fei and
Citan. Even if my remaining
characters had been strong enough to
take on Harlute, I assure you, it
would not have been worth the
trouble.
- Destroying
Deus now was not too difficult.
Emeralda used her
extra-powered Ether attacks, only
using fuel to heal
periodically. Fei and Citan
used their L1 Deathblows. Even
with my low levels and equipment,
Deus didn't stand a chance.
- Urobolus
isn't even worth worrying
about. She won't even get of
1/3 of your HP before you creamate
her with any attack you see fit.
*Note: Yes,
I know Chu-Chu is a worthless piece of
fluff. But there are two good things
about her. The first: she can serve as
a target and mildly heal others before she
dies. The other: Between battles, just
use an Omegasol and she'll be ready to serve
her purpose in the next battle. (Note
from the webmaster: From previous submissions
above, they say that Chu-chu can be healed by
Aquasol)
Hopefully
this will help all of you out there who are
as lazy as I am to keep from spending too
much time having to prepare for the final
battle :) With this technique, destroying
Deus with whoosy characters isn't all that
tough.

from
Hin-Tso Tai <[email protected]> First, goto the
underground city at the lighthouse where you
can make Emeralda grow up and get at least
three Z-Chargers, you can get one free inside
the subway car when you go down the manhole,
and you can get the rest from Big Joe's shop
in there, they are expensive though, 50,000
gp for each charger (one easy but tedious way
to get money is by going into Big Joe's shop
over and over again, everytime you step out
the door and back in again you can obtain new
free stuff near Big Joe, most of the items
are useless, but alot of the times you can
get Billy's Matchlock gun, which you can
immediately sell back to Big Joe for 6,000
gp).
After you get to the final dungeon, do not
use Fei's xenogear to fight the ORBS, you
need him at full strength to fight DEUS,
instead, rotate all your other characters
around to fight the ORBS, and for each
battle, equip the fighting gears with your
highest armor, a Frame HP50, and a Z-Charger,
and also equip the character whose gear has
the best chance of attaining infinity attack
with a holy pendant, avoid healing your armor
unless it's so low the ORBS' next attack will
probably kill you (because the lower your hp
the more likely you will attain infinity
attack), dont worry about saving them to
fight DEUS, you wont need them, Fei can beat
him all by himself if equipped as prescribed
(which is what i did, i wind up fighting DEUS
with Fei alone because DEUS' first attack was
so powerful, something over 8,000 hp damage,
it KO my other gears before they had a chance
to fight), you can still use your other gears
in the DEUS fight, but make sure they have at
least 9,000 hp left.
