The next day, talk
to Bart and tell him you're ready. After a sequence,
you'll be controlling Citan. You'll find yourself in
the room where Maison is. Save the game. Leave the
room the turn to your [right] and enter the elevator.
Climb up the stairs. A sequence follows.
You will see the
where the entrance of the cave. Follow the orange
gears if you can. Avoid falling because that will
only cause delay. But don't be frustrated yet, more
difficult jumps (if you miss a jump you'll fall far
down) will be coming. Since you are on your own, it
would be a good idea to escape the fights with the
Medusoids.
Inside the cave, you
will have to jump up many more ledges. There will be
lots of enemies inside but the most destructive I
guess are the May Flies. Choose your battles wisely.
If you think you will win, go ahead and fight--you
need the money and experience. If you're low on HP
and fuel, then escape from the fights.
At the top is a
repair bot. He will be a very big help to you don't
choose "Can't Trust You" when you talk to
him. Restore your gear fuel because YOU REALLY NEED
TO! Let me tell you about the next bosses you'll
face... They're so tough to beat that it'll make you
want to throw out your Xenogears CDs out of the
window. You will be battling a group of gears again.
After talking with him, click on <S>, click on
'Gear' then 'Equip.' Change your accessories to: Beam
Coat (why? Because you'll be facing the group of
gears and one of them can cause a lot of damage using
a beam gun). Upgrade the Extra Ar to Extra Ar+1. Then
save the game on your memory cube. Go towards the
light. Walk and a sequence follows.

For your 1st fight with Vierge, you
really need to have AR Reparier equipped.

BOSS
FIGHT |
WANDKNIGHTS |
700 HP each |
Hopefully
you listened to me and used a Beam Coat.
Concentrate on one enemy at a time. A level 1
deathblow will do the trick. I recommend
Reppu (causes 480 damage). |
BOSS
FIGHT |
CLAWKNIGHT, SWORDKNIGHT,
AEGISKNIGHT |
600 HP, 700 HP, 700 HP |
Eliminate
the red knight then the yellow first. The red
is the most destructive of the three. Use
level 1 deathblows to get them. Your goal is
to have more than 1800 HPs left when facing
Vierge, the next boss. Don't use booster
because you won't have the chance to restore
your fuel until after the battle with Vierge.

Then, in the last fight before Elly
herself, you fight three gears (it was so
long ago I can't remember the names).
Anyway, one of the gears tries to lower your
DEF (again, to no avail). Totally
ignore that gear, since he can't lower your
DEF and his attacks are just plain wimpy.
Instead, focus your attacks on the other
two. After that's done, charge up your
gear until you have most or all of your fuel
left, then smash the last gear. You
should have enough HP's and fuel to handle
Elly with little worry.

BOSS
FIGHT |
VIERGE |
2500 HP |
By this
time you should have at least 1800 HPs left.
Vierge has this powerful attack called Aerods
which is really destructive. She will launch
them about 4 times and they cause 300+HP
damage per attack. Plus you have to keep in
mind that she does other attacks other than
the 4 Aerods. She is fast so <X>
attacks might miss occasionally. Reppu, one
of your deathblows can cause 400+ damage to
her so use them. |
Oh
no, another sequence! After, you'll find yourself
back to the Fixbot standing by the memory cube. Talk
to him. You may want to restore the fuel of your gear
and buy some character items like the Aquasol and
Rosesol. Buy some Omegasol, too. They're cheap and
they will restore your HP and EP to full but they may
only be used when not battling. Save your game! You
don't want to fight them again, do you? Head
/NORTHEAST\ and climb to the top.
TIPS ON ENEMIES
Edelweiss --
An enemy with lots of HP. Kill this thing with
your <X> attacks and a Reppu deathblow.
You'll most likely get a Fang after the battle
which you may sell to Maison.
When you get to the
topmost part, go to the light and actually, you have
to hit the wall for a sequence to begin. You're in a
familiar place again. After the sequence, save your
game at the nearby memory cube. Once in control of
Bart, climb up the ladder. A sequence follows. Now
you'll be in control of Bart.
Exit the room.
Another sequence follows.
